‘World No.1’ dreamer Bang Sinsil jumps to 110th in world rankings with first win

Bang Shin-sil, the heroine of the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour’s ‘Jangta Syndrome’, has jumped to 110th in the world rankings.

In the new Women’s Golf World Rankings released on 30 March, Bang was ranked 110th, up 123 places from 233rd last week.먹튀검증

Her rise was driven by her win at the KLPGA Tour E1 Charity Open, which concluded on 28 April, and two top-10 finishes in the past month.

“My goal is to become the No. 1 player in the world,” Bang said after her first career victory.

The South Korean has quickly become a favourite on the KLPGA Tour with her long drives of over 300 yards.

She started the season as a ‘conditional seed’ after a poor showing at the seeding event in November last year, but the win erased all her worries and secured her place on the tour until 2025.

It was the second consecutive week that Ko, who Bang Shin-sil cited as a ‘role model’, retained the top spot.

Nelly Koda (USA), Lydia Ko (NZL), Lilia Boo (USA) and Minjee Lee (AUS) remained in second to fifth place.
