Poland is ready to make a statement.
The Polish Volleyball Federation (PZPS) announced the 14-player roster for Week 2 of the FIVB Volleyball Nations League (VNL) 2023 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on Friday on its official social media accounts.
Poland’s roster for Week 2 is significantly different from their Week 1 roster. Poland did not include most of its starters in Week 1, with the exception of Kamil Semeniuk (OH) and Mateusz Wieniek (MB). This was done in order to manage the condition of the players, who did not have enough rest due to the league-club competition schedule.먹튀검증
However, the roster for Week 2 features a number of players representing Poland. Wilfredo Leon (OH), one of the best spikers in the world, Jakub Kohanowski (MB), who is building Poland’s Twin Towers with Wieniek, and 2021 VNL MVP Bartosz Kurek (OP) are all on the roster.
In addition, Tomasz Fornal (OH), who won his country’s league MVP last season, and Pawel Zatorsky (L), who was named Best Libero at the 2018 VNL-World Championship, will join the squad from Week 2. With the exception of Alexander Slivka (OH) and Marcin Janusz (S), this is virtually a full squad.
Poland didn’t do too badly in Week 1, going 3-1 (7 points) despite not being at 100% capacity. Semeniuk and Wieniek were outstanding, while Arthur Schalpuk (OH), who stepped in for Leon and Fornal, also played well and contributed to the favorable results.
Strong enough, Poland is now even stronger and closer to perfection. It will be interesting to see if the World No.1s can use their full strength to get closer to their first VNL title.
