‘Two-time London Paralympic champion’ Park Sae-gyun wins four World Para Shooting titles in Changwon

Two-time London 2012 Paralympic champion Park Se-gyun (51) has won four titles at the Changwon Para Shooting World Cup 2023.

Park won the P5 (mixed 10m air pistol) team event with Park Chul and Kim Jung-nam on 28 August at the Changwon International Shooting Centre, before shooting 362 points in the individual event to take gold ahead of Park Chul (361).먹튀검증

Park, who also won gold in the P3 (mixed 25m gunpowder pistol) team event and P1 (SH1 men’s 10m air pistol) team event, added two more gold medals on the day to set the scene for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Park was the poster boy for South Korean Para shooting at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, where he won gold in the mixed 50m gunpowder pistol and the men’s 10m air pistol and mixed 50m gunpowder pistol at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Park hasn’t had much success since, and failed to qualify for the Rio de Janeiro 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

South Korea added two golds, one silver and one bronze to its medal tally on the day, and after 28 days, the country leads the overall standings with 10 golds, five silvers and three bronzes.
