Traded Hwang Seung-bin reunites with Na Kyung-bok…Han Sung-jung makes ‘chinjung comeback’

Woori Card has sent Na Kyung-bok to free agency and also sent captain and starting setter Hwang Seung-bin to KB Insurance via trade.

“KB Insurance and Woori Card conducted a one-for-one trade to send outside hitter Han Sung-jung and acquire setter Hwang Seung-bin,” KB Insurance said in an official press release on the 25th.

KB Insurance is expected to fill the setter gap left by the enlistment of main setter Hwang Taek-ui with Hwang Seung-bin. The Woori Card also sent Na Kyung-bok to strengthen the outside hitter position in Korea with Han Sung-jeong, so Hwang Seung-bin will be reunited with Na Kyung-bok, who had previously moved to KB Insurance.스포츠토토

Hwang joined Korean Air with the fifth overall pick in the first round of the 2014-15 season, and has since changed jerseys four times with Samsung Fire, Woori Card and KB Insurance. In his last season, he appeared in 36 matches (140 sets) and recorded 64 points, 0.27 blocking, 0.07 serving, and 10.29 points per set.

Also traded was outside hitter Han Sung-jung, who returns to her hometown team after a year and a half away. Han started her professional career with Woori Card as a first-round pick in the 2017-18 season. He played for Woori until the 20-21 season before being traded to KB Insurance in a deal with Kim Jae-hwi and Kim Dong-min the following season.

In the 22-23 season with KB Insurance, he played a total of 34 games (115 sets), scoring 234 points with an attacking success rate of 45.89%. He also had 0.21 blocking, 0.08 serving, and 32.27 per cent receiving efficiency.

“We made the trade to strengthen the positions we need in preparation for the 23-24 season,” said KB Insurance Head Coach Hoo In-jung and Woori Card Head Coach Shin Young-cheol. “We are grateful to the player for her dedication to the team so far and wish her well in her new team without any injuries.”
