Modern Pentathlon Sung Seung-min World Cup 4th Women’s Individual Runner-up

 Seong Seung-min (Korea National Sport University), the promising female modern pentathlon, won the runner-up in the individual event at the International Modern Pentathlon (UIPM) World Cup.

Seong Seung-min scored a total of 1,393 points in fencing, horseback riding, swimming, and laser running (track and field + shooting) in the women’s individual finals of the 2023 UIPM World Cup 4th competition held in Sofia, Bulgaria on the 14th (Korean time). Seong Seung-min took second place after Kerenza Bryson (Great Britain), who won with 1,400 points.스포츠토토

At the UIPM World Cup, Seong Seung-min won her first medal around her neck. As a high school student in 2021, he wore the Taegeuk mark for the first time. Seong Seung-min, who drew attention for her as a rising star in Korean modern pentathlon, won a valuable silver medal at this event.

In the 4th World Cup in June of last year, he won the mixed relay with Lee Ji-hoon (LH). At the World Championships in July, she won Korea’s silver medal in the women’s team event.

Seong Seung-min, who had no medals in her individual event, achieved her first podium finish at this event.

Kim Se-hee (BNK Savings Bank), who she competed with, came in 12th. Kim Seon-woo (Gyeonggi Provincial Office) finished the tournament in 16th place.

Meanwhile, Jeon Woong-tae (Gwangju City Hall), the representative of Korea’s modern pentathlon, did not participate in this tournament in preparation for the World Cup final early next month.
