Brighton’s Alexis McAllister (24) is attracting interest from Manchester City.
“Pep Guardiola is ready to fight Liverpool for McAllister’s signature,” British media outlet The Express reported on Feb. 22 (KST).
“Manchester City have entered the race to sign McAllister. “The Reds currently have the upper hand in the race for McAllister, but City are looking to bolster their ranks with a £60 million transfer fee,” the report added.먹튀검증
“Manchester City are set for a major shake-up in midfield this summer. Ilkay Gundogan could leave and Bernardo Silva could also be on his way out, with the technically gifted McAllister emerging as a leading candidate to replace Gundogan.”
McAllister’s agent has also suggested a move is likely. “He is most likely to leave this summer, even though he has two more years left on his contract,” he said. Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Manchester United are all currently interested in signing him.
McAllister is a midfielder who made a name for himself at the last World Cup. He started every game at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar except for the first group game against Saudi Arabia. He made his presence felt with a goal against Poland and an assist in the final against France.
McAllister, who can play in the center and defensive midfield, has a great set of skills. He has great feet, dribbles, and accurate kicks and passes. His tactical understanding is also strong, allowing him to see multiple positions. He’s also very skilled without the ball.
He has been playing for Brighton since the 2018-19 season. He really started to get his chance in the 2020-21 season and has 12 goals and three assists in 38 games this season. He has started 30 of the 33 Premier League matches, showing his influence in the team.
McAllister’s contract ends in June 2025. The time has come for him to talk to clubs about a new contract and a move, but according to local reports, a move is most likely this summer.
“Manchester City are hoping that qualification for the UEFA Champions League will be the deciding factor for McAllister,” said the Express.
As well as McAllister, City are also looking at Julio Enciso (Brighton), Joshua Kimmich (Bayern Munich) and Josko Gvardiol (Leipzig) as they look to overhaul their squad.
