GG Final Candidate’ Robles, ‘Agreement’ with Washington for Adjustment Damage

Outfielder Victor Robles (26, Washington Nationals) reached an agreement to avoid salary adjustments.

On the 7th (Korean time), Major League Baseball (MLB) official website MLB.com reported that Robles had agreed to a one-year contract with the Washington club with a club option for 2024. 메이저사이트

Robles initially asked for $2.6 million (3.26 billion won) as an annual salary for the 2023 season, and confronted the club, which offered $2.3 million (2.89 billion won). According to the Washington Post, Robles will receive an annual salary of $2.325 million (2.92 billion won) for the 2023 season, and the size of the club Ocean in 2024 is $3.3 million (4.15 billion won). 

Born in the Dominican Republic, Robles made his big league debut in 2017. His career (6 years) performance is a batting average of 0.233 (345 hits in 1478 at-bats), 31 home runs and 146 RBIs in 480 games. He also stood out in 2019 with 17 home runs and 65 RBIs. Last year, his batting average was 0.224 (82 hits in 366 at-bats) in 132 games, 6 home runs and 33 RBIs. The combined OPS of on-base percentage (0.273) and slugging percentage (0.311) was low at 0.584.

However, his defensive contribution is high based on his wide range and strong arm. He failed to win the award last year, but was also named as a finalist for the Gold Glove (GG) in the National League outfielder category.
