El Salvador to face South Korea. Shocking 6-goal loss to Japan

Ahead of an exhibition match against the South Korean men’s national soccer team next week, El Salvador suffered a crushing defeat in Japan.

El Salvador, ranked 75th in FIFA, fell 0-6 to Japan, ranked 20th, on Friday in Toyota, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, after being outnumbered early and looking lethargic throughout the match.스포츠토토

El Salvador will play a friendly against South Korea (ranked 27th) at the Daejeon World Cup Stadium on Tuesday. The result was a good opportunity to get a feel for El Salvador’s strengths.

Japan took the lead in the first minute of the match with a goal from Shogo Taniguchi (Al Rayyan, Qatar). Ayase Ueda (Brugge, Belgium) added a second goal from the penalty spot in the fourth minute.

To make matters worse for El Salvador, defender Ronald Gomes (FC Tulsa) was sent off early in the match, leaving the team outnumbered.

After Japan, El Salvador continued to dominate. Takefusa Kubo (Real Sociedad) scored in the 25th minute and Doan Ritsu (Freiburg) added a goal in the 44th minute to give Japan a 4-0 halftime lead.

Keito Nakamura (Austria LASK) scored in the 15th minute and Kyogo Furuhashi (Celtic) in the 28th minute to seal the six-goal victory.

South Korea will face Peru in Busan on Sept. 16 before traveling to Daejeon to face El Salvador on Sept. 20. Japan will play Peru (ranked 21st) in an exhibition match in Osaka on the 20th.
