‘243kg flash’ Kim Soo-hyun, the first total gold reward… 2 crowns up to the prize

At the Asian Weightlifting Championships, Korea performed well by winning the first gold medal in the women’s division. Kim Soo-hyun (Busan City Sports Association) lifted a total of 243kg and climbed to the top of the podium. 

Kim Soo-hyun, who competed in the women’s 76kg at the 2023 Jinju Asian Weightlifting Championships held at the Jinju Indoor Gymnasium in Gyeongnam on the 9th, recorded a total of 243kg with a snatch of 109kg and a jerk of 134kg.

In her raise, she placed second behind Thailand’s Siri Yakon Khai Pandung (110 kg), but in the jerk lifted 134 kg to take first place and also placed first in the total. Kai Pandung lifted 237 kg and placed second overall. 

In the Olympics, rankings are determined only by total records, but in the World Weightlifting Championships, impressions, jerks, and totals are all covered. Kim Soo-hyun won two gold medals in total and jerk, and won a silver medal in impression.안전놀이터

Kim Soo-hyun broke her own record (2021 Unemployment Chairman Bae, 142kg) by lifting 143kg in the 3rd round of the 76kg class in the women’s general division of the National Sports Festival in October of last year, setting a new Korean record. She also won her first total medal at her majors at the World Championships in December. 

Lee Min-ji (Ulsan Metropolitan City), who competed together, also won a bronze medal with a snatch of 100kg, a silver medal with a jerk of 128kg, and a bronze medal with a total of 228kg. Two Korean athletes stood on the podium. 

Currently, China leads with the most medals, winning 15 gold, 8 silver and 2 bronze. Korea won 11 medals with 3 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze.
